multiple posts under one page tut ✎

 i saw someone ask how to do this on another blog sooo here it is lol. how to get multiple posts under one page on your blog (on blogger only)!!

literally just figured this out a few days ago. i tried searching up yt videos on how and things like that but they were allll outdated. so i figured id just post this. okayyy let’s get into it. it’s pretty simple actually :) so lemme try to explain this as straightforwardly and easily to understand as possible:

1) before you create the page, you’re actually going to work on the post that you want under the page. if you already have the page that you want multiple posts under created, just delete that page and start a new one. don’t be scared to delete it !! you’ll have the same name for the page and it’ll look the exact same, you’ll just be able to post multiple things under the page. ONCE YOU FINISH THE PAGE, DON’T PUBLISH IT YET !! GO TO STEP 2 

2) once you’ve created the post you want (assuming you know how to make posts and pages already), you are now going to go to the LABELS tab. you should see it to the right of the draft of your post. it’s right under the orange publish button, post settings, and you should see a labels tab. click on that and you’re going to see a place to type. “separate labels by commas” it should say. this is where you’re going to put the title of your PAGE. for example, if i were making a music post under my music page, i would put the title of my music page in that space. your page doesn’t exist yet, that’s how it works :) after you type it in, it’s going to say “no matching suggestions”. thats normal

3) publish the post

4) go to your official blog website (ex: i would make a new tab so that i would have both my blogger.com open and blueberrypieprincess.blogspot.com)

5) you should see the post that you just posted. remember that label you made? it should be written there at the bottom of your post! that’s actually a link, so click on that link. it’ll take you to a “new” page that says “showing posts with label ___your label___”. you should see your post right there

6) COPY THE LINK of the new page it brought you to. IMPORTANT NOTE: if your label has TWO (or more) words in it, you have to go into the link and ADD A SPACE between the words. this is so important. or, if you’re like me and add cute little symbols you must copy the symbols EXACTLY into the link if they arent there already. these two things caused me SO MUCH TROUBLE, especially for my teen talk tab so plssssss remember to do that

7) now that your link is copied, go back to blogger.com

8) go to layout

9) click “edit” on your pages gadget (usually it’s in the cross column section of layout) if you don’t have a pages gadget, just add one. click “add gadget” in the cross column section and scroll until you see the pages one.

10) here, you should see your pages. if you don’t have any existing pages yet, you won’t see anything here. click “add a new page”.

11) now youll see two spaces to type: one says “page title” and the other says “page URL”. in the title space, you’re going to title the page EXACTLY what your label was. 

12) for the page URL, paste in the url you just copied.

13) click save

14) make sure to save EVERYTHING. you don’t want to lose any of this

15) go to your official blog page and you’ll see your page! click on it, and you’ll see the post :))

other things that could happen: 

- sometimes when you’re copying the url from the search bar, it’ll add a random “20%” thing right between your label. just delete it, but make sure the label is the EXACT SAME. im talking spaces, periods, everything must be IDENTICAL for it to work. i learned this the hard way.

- ALWAYS edit the url in the search bar when originally copying it. editing it in the layout page won’t work. so deleting the 20% or adding any spaces or editing the url of any sort should take place in the actual search bar before you paste it into your layout

- these pages you make don’t really count as actual “pages” to this website, so these pages will NOT show up in your pages tab

so there you have it!! i hope this helps. anytime you want to add a new post under that page, just label your post with the same label and it’ll automatically pop up under that page. lmk if this works !!
