oh well: so actually ‘oh well’ was written about me. i am genuinely convinced that ariana has planted cameras in my room and then wrote this song. and not even to mention THE OUTRO???? omg. ariana has a way to ending songs with a beautiful violin melody, which feels personal to me bc i play violin and i love love it. the first time i heard that outro i cried bro. it’s kinda rare for me to cry at songs so i knew right away this would be my fav song
freak: didn’t she release a little clip of this before the album release? anyway, i actually never heard whatever she teased. so when i heard those first chords in the beginning my jaw was DROPPED. omg like it’s kind of an unexpected chord progression and i absolutely love it. so much so that i learned it on the piano a day after lol.. (i’ll put the notes if you’re curious)

as for the lyrics.. alright wrap it up like i CANT. “all of the human life i’ve dreamt of will be real if i start over / how will it feel?” “i cant leave your side / it’s so peculiar” hello who writes that besides the ariana herself??? and the VOCALS IM SOOO DOWN BAD FOR THIS SONG
bad thing (bunny hop): THIS SONG IS SO THE WEEKND IS IT NOT?? the production on this is flawless and absolute perfection. also, again, this song is about me btw. why does ariana know everything happening in my life its kinda getting to a point. “you’ve really been such a good boy through all of this noise/ the frequency’s changing” VOCALS LYRICS PRODUCTION 10 OUTTA 10 OUTTA 10
warning signs (interlude): guys why is this song so underrated?? like its BEAUTIFUL. why do the people never appreciate an interlude. especially from ariana? yall are not doing this song it’s justice. i guess it’s because it’s a shorter song and kind of an extension of freak.. but i am a SUCKER for a song fading into another song. immediate 10/10. the production is really unique and beautiful, like the dropping out the beat/melody and then bringing it back and the descending drums UGH its actually amazing. “my pain is music do you hear me everywhere?” “monday i got you all over me / you love me like ecstasy” “my wisdom has fled the scene” “I WISH SOMEONE COULD HEAR ME” YES ARIANA YES YES I NEED IT IN MY VEINS RN
big feelings: guys. i was vibing so hard while hearing this and then i hear “pussy so sweet a tear fell from his eye” oh okay were doing THAT!! honestly i gotta love freaky ariana. the production is so sexy mwahhh i love
kiss me: THE INTRO HAS ME ON MY KNEES OMGGGGGG
production: this whole album has such a spacey, liminal, heavenly sound to it idek how to describe it.. its just so amazing like i love this new brand she has for eternal sunshine n petal. also i love it sm when she inserts her talking or laughing it makes the song feel so nostalgic in a way
lyrics: the hate on this albums lyrics is so annoying to me.. like this album has so much variety and dimension while also maintaining a sort of poeticness that is hard to find in a lot of albums!! it’s so profound and I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!
over all rating: 9.3/10
literally an amazing album and has been on repeat since i heard it; im literally playing right now. like i do, btw. it’s only 0.7 off bcccc eternal sunshine has just such a beautiful story and i love it and i dont think anything could ever top eternal sunshine for me.. NOT TO COMPARE OFC!!
